The Unicus is a shell and tube heat exchanger with scrapers fitted in each interior tube. The gentle movement of the scrapers creates movement and flow within the fluid and cleans the heat exchanger. This allows very viscous and delicate products to pass through the exchanger whilst maintaining high heat transfer and reducing cleaning downtime as CIP can be avoided.
